On our information site - Michael Jordan Movie - I would like to focus on a fun matter that has been circling around for the previous few seasons. Is Kobe Bryant better than Michael Jordan? In my honest view - No, but Kobe is sure close and he has a few more seasons before his career is concluded and might surpass him.
If you were to go over figures separating these 2 players, you might see that over their profession MJ's averages are better than Kobe's. Jordan's average for points per game over the regular season is 30.1. Kobe's is 25.3 points per game. Jordan has the highest points per game of all-time as well. Jordan also averages more rebounds and assists than Kobe showing that he has a far more all-around game.
In the playoffs, Jordan's ability to raised his game to superhuman levels is not surpassed. He averaged 33.4 points per game - 1st all time as well - compared to Kobe's 25.5 points per game. This is the same with rebounds and assists as well. I would have to say that their clutch performances however are nearly on par as these guys both excel when the game matters the most. These guys are very equivalent with their dedication to shoulder their teammates to victory.
In a game affect level, I would rate them each to be very similar. Which ever team played these two guys, one can be confident that the opposing team will be definetely zoning their very best defensive professionals on them.
Ok, so it sounds that I'm really biased with my preference for Michael Jordan. But I'm a massive Kobe Bryant fan as well. I feel Jordan is far more consistent over his profession than Kobe, but that is not to take anything away from Kobe.
Kobe scored 81 points when facing the Toronto Raptors in the 2006 NBA season - 2nd all time behind Wilt Chamberlain's 100 point outing.. I doubt very considerably that Wilt may also score 60 points in today's game. I basically believe that is an amazing performance.
Also there was a time for the duration of that year where he had nine 40-plus point games. Basically outstanding.
At the end, is Kobe Bryant greater than Michael Jordan just based on these simple figures? No - but he certainly is the closest out of any other NBA player. The Michael Jordan Movie website will possess much more data on this in the next few months. |
